The Royalty Sensory Gyms Story

Royalty Sensory Gyms was created by two brothers, Dylan and Jonathan Beyer, who were raised to “leave the world better than how they found it.”

Jonathan has more than ten years of construction experience, primarily involving specialty projects such as sensory gyms and rooms. His previous experience left him frustrated because some companies were using materials that were not the right choice for the children using the equipment. He understood that children who benefit from sensory integration equipment need spaces built with safety, durability, and their specific needs in mind.

He was also disheartened by the lack of compassion and understanding he saw from other contractors in the sensory-gym industry. Jonathan discussed the situation with his brother, and Dylan offered his business experience to help build a company that would better serve its clients and leave the world a better place. That commitment became the foundation of Royalty Sensory Gyms and its collaborative design and installation process.

Jonathan has over ten years of construction experience, mainly in specialty projects such as sensory gyms and rooms. His previous experience left him frustrated, knowing that other companies were using materials that weren’t the right choice for the youth using the equipment; he took to heart the needs of children who need sensory integration therapy. He felt that lower quality materials wouldn’t best serve kids, some of whom would chew on the equipment.

He was further disheartened by the lack of compassion and understanding expressed by other contractors in the sensory gym industry. Jonathan talked to his brother about the situation and Dylan offered to share his business acumen to get a new company off the ground that would better serve its clients and ultimately, leave the world a better place.

The Beyer Brothers have a passion for providing the best solutions and highest quality sensory spaces for children of varying abilities. Their uncompromising commitment to meeting the needs of these precious kids, their caregivers, and therapists drove them to create a company that raises the standard for sensory gyms in the United States.

When you first contact Royalty Sensory Gyms, you will speak with one of the owners, who will help guide you toward a thoughtfully planned, state-of-the-art custom sensory gym. We will ask several questions to better understand your space, users, priorities, and the type of sensory environment you want to create.


These three questions help us begin the sensory gym design process and create a system that fits your available space:

  1. How large is the sensory gym area? Please provide the length, width, and height.
  2. What type of ceiling does the space have, and how high is it? For example, is it drywall or a drop ceiling?
  3. Where are the doors, windows, vents, lighting fixtures, and other obstacles located? This information is important for safety and equipment placement.

Design

After the initial phone consultation, Royalty Sensory Gyms will create a custom sensory gym design based on the information you provide about your space, users, goals, and equipment needs. When the plans are complete, we will schedule a phone conference to review the design and explain why it is the best fit for your space. The review will cover traffic flow, structural requirements, equipment placement, safety considerations, and open-play areas. This collaborative review is an important part of our complete design and installation process.

Manufacturing

After you approve the design and layout, we will provide the project contract. Once the agreement is signed and the down payment is received, our experienced craftspeople begin manufacturing your custom sensory gym.


During manufacturing, we prioritize durable materials, careful construction, and structural integrity. We use high-quality hardwood products, including Douglas fir where appropriate, to create strong and secure sensory-gym components. Every element is prepared for the final stage of our manufacturing and installation process.

After your custom sensory gym has been manufactured, Royalty Sensory Gyms will deliver and install the completed system in your space. Upon arrival, our friendly and detail-oriented installation crew will walk through the room with you to confirm the approved layout, equipment placement, access points, and project expectations. This final review helps ensure that everyone is aligned before installation begins. Throughout the delivery and installation process, safe building practices, professionalism, structural durability, and careful attention to detail remain our top priorities.
