Monkey Bar System

Monkey Bar Systems

Our custom monkey bar systems are designed to preserve valuable floor space while supporting movement activities involving grip strength, coordination, balance, motor planning, and upper-body engagement. These free-floating systems can be mounted from wall to wall or supported by a custom false header when the room configuration requires additional structural support. Each layout is planned around the available dimensions, ceiling conditions, intended users, traffic flow, and safe operating clearances. A monkey bar system can incorporate several sensory equipment attachments, including multiple swing hookups, trapeze handles, suspended equipment, and a zip line that runs along the length of the unit. Monkey bars may also be integrated with climbing walls and other movement features to create a more complete sensory environment for therapy clinics, schools, healthcare facilities, nonprofits, and other commercial sensory gym spaces. During our consultation, design, manufacturing, and installation process, we determine the appropriate structure, mounting method, equipment configuration, and layout for the room.

Multi-Purpose Swing Hookups

Our multi-purpose swing hookups provide flexible attachment options for suspended sensory equipment. The nylon-bushing system can support one-point, two-point, and four-point configurations, allowing therapists and caregivers to use a wide range of swings and movement equipment within one structure. These hookups are commonly integrated into our custom monkey bar systems so organizations can preserve valuable floor space while expanding the number of activities available within the sensory gym. Depending on the room and intended use, the system may accommodate different sensory equipment attachments, including platform swings, bolster swings, trapeze equipment, suspended movement features, and other compatible therapeutic accessories. Multi-purpose hookups can also be considered alongside free-standing swing structures when a wall-mounted monkey bar system is not the best fit for the available space. During our consultation, design, manufacturing, and installation process, we evaluate ceiling height, structural conditions, equipment requirements, intended users, operating clearances, and the safest placement for each hookup.

Trapeze Handles

The trapeze handles extends the length of the monkey bar system and typically comes with 15-20 handles that can be used in a couple different ways for eye-hand coordination! These handles benefit kids body awareness, motor control, muscle strength, and posture!

Zip-Lines

Our sensory zip-line feature expands the range of activities available on a custom monkey bar system. Children can pull themselves along the length of the unit using a rope, move with assistance from a therapist, or participate in other supervised movement activities suited to the space and equipment configuration.

A compatible rotary clip can also be connected to the system’s sensory equipment attachments for controlled rotational activities. One-point and two-point attachment options accommodate a variety of compatible swings and suspended equipment.

Zip-lines, swing positions, trapeze handles, and climbing features can be combined within a complete commercial sensory gym for therapy clinics, schools, healthcare facilities, nonprofits, and community organizations.

During our consultation, design, manufacturing, and installation process, we evaluate the room dimensions, structure length, operating clearance, intended users, attachment configuration, and safe placement of the zip-line system.
